Wow. My bees got all uppity today and started acting like they were going to swarm. They were a ton in front of one of the hives, bunched at the door and making a racket, and then they started getting a big clump going on the bottom of the screen under the hive (my two hives are about 7-8 feet up on a shelf mounted onto my house). They were super rowdy and increasingly clumpy for about 45 minutes. I left for about 20 minutes and all was quiet and calm when I came back and no sign of a swarm near by. Hmmmm........

Were they prepping for a bee party to which I wasn't invited or what?
